Managing money and making a profit

Most people miss the point of book-keeping and only bother with it because the tax man demands it, the accountant needs it, or the bank is demanding to see the figures. This free one day course will deal with the basics of bookkeeping aimed to help entrepreneurs understanding what accounting information is important to effectively manage their businesses.

In particular this workshop will look at: start-up and running costs, calculating profit and breakeven point, profit & loss account, balance sheet, cashflow forecast, legal requirements, and sources of support.

Finding and keeping customers

This one-day seminar is designed to support entrepreneurs who are looking for a general overview of marketing, and how it can be used to find and keep customers. This lively and entertaining workshop is full of easy to apply tips that will enhance your marketing effort, together with providing practical guidelines for implementing marketing in your business within a limited budget.

How does a business develop from only existing, to being a success and generating profit? This free one-day practical workshop will look at the key areas you need to consider for your company to grow and succeed - including not only the 4Ps of product, price, place and promotion - but also legislation, management and people.

In particular this workshop will look at: time management, managing resources, employing people, health and safety, quality standards, and looking towards this future.
